The company\u2019s participation marks a milestone in its trajectory and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the creative chain of Mexican cinema from its most fundamental element: the script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition, which celebrates its 24th uninterrupted edition since its founding in 2002, invites Mexican screenwriters and residents in the country to submit original projects in the short film and feature-length fiction categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this edition, <strong>WABI Entertainment<\/strong>\u2014represented by <strong>Estefania Bonilla Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (Head of Development) and <strong>Yair Ponce<\/strong> (MD)\u2014joins the initiative alongside<strong> the Government of the State of Guanajuato, Fundaci\u00f3n Expresi\u00f3n en Corto A.C., Escribe Cine A.C., Corporaci\u00f3n Cinefilia, Lab Cine, and the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe script is the beginning and the foundation of cinema. Bringing WABI Entertainment into this collective effort is a clear commitment to the stories that deserve to be told and to those who have the talent to write them.\u201d<br><strong>\u2014 Yair Ponce, MD \/ Executive Producer, WABI Entertainment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The call for entries for the 24th competition is open from March 17 to April 16, 2026, and is aimed at Mexican authors and co-authors, whether living in Mexico or abroad, as well as foreign nationals with a minimum of three years of residency in Mexico.
