Its origins can be traced back to D\u00e9jala Ir (Let Her Go), a horror short film directed by <strong>Socorro<\/strong> that premiered at the <strong>Morelia&#8217;s International Film Festival<\/strong> in 2015. Inspired by elements of that earlier work, both filmmakers set out to construct a completely new narrative within a genre they deeply admire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>La Otra Alicia<\/em><\/strong> marks a significant milestone for both directors. It represents <strong>Socorro&#8217;s<\/strong> feature film debut, while <strong>Cuch\u00ed <\/strong>delves into horror and body horror for the first time, approaching the genre from a bold and personal perspective. The film also reunites them with a production team that is now part of <strong>Wabi Entertainment<\/strong>, responsible for acclaimed titles such as 50 (or Two Whales Meet on the Beach), which premiered at the Venice Critics&#8217; Week, and A Bad Actor, nominated for five Ariel Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Set in a contemporary and seemingly controlled world\u2014an elegant hotel, refined restaurants, and quiet apartments\u2014<strong><em>La Otra Alicia<\/em><\/strong> gradually transforms its sophisticated environments into spaces of confinement and confrontation. In this setting, three characters are forced to confront each other and reveal their true identities.
