A SENSITIVE AND CONTEMPORARY LENS: PATRICIA BYRNE JOINS WABI

14 septiembre, 2026

We proudly welcome Patricia Byrne — a director and screenwriter who finds poetry in the everyday, crafting visual narratives that are as sensitive as they are profoundly authentic.

Raised by a visual artist and trained at Argentina’s prestigious ENERC, Patricia has developed a distinctive cinematic language that spans advertising, documentaries, fiction, and iconic music videos for artists like Robbie Williams and Natalia Lafourcade. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity and an unwavering commitment to telling stories from a genuine female perspective — celebrating individuality and diversity while breaking away from traditional stereotypes.

As a visionary storyteller, Patricia brings to Wabi a unique ability to build visually striking worlds with a strong, contemporary identity. Her talent for connecting the aesthetic with the emotional has earned her international acclaim, including the CADS Award, the Shooting People Jury and Audience Awards in London, and Best Ibero-American Series at BAMV Fest for her fiction project #Singles.

Regarding her continued expansion into the Mexican market, Patricia elevates advertising by blending her rich cinematic background with a deep sensitivity for human connection. In a landscape that thrives on authentic and vibrant storytelling, her fresh, identity-driven approach transforms commercial campaigns into relatable, visually poetic experiences that capture the true beauty of everyday life.

At Wabi, we believe cinema is not only something you watch — it’s something you feel. Together with Patricia Byrne, we begin a new chapter defined by striking visual sensitivity, authentic female voices, and stories designed to leave a lasting emotional imprint.
